Security Considerations

Airport staff are trained to be constantly aware of any security risks while they work.

Passengers should be aware that just like at larger airports, we do have quite a stringent regime in place. Staff are on the vigilantt for people who may have gained access to a restricted area and are also on the look out, for unaccompanied bags in the terminal etc.

For the latter please do not put down your baggage and walk away. We know the counters are not always open but this will not justify leaving bags in anticipation while you grab a coffee. Please keep the bags with you. Staff on seeing unattended bags will crate a fuss to i.d who belongs, to them and if they can't, evacuation of the terminal could result.

Check in staff will ask if there are any dangerous goods in your bags. While not really a security question it is for the safety of all on board. Please answer honestly. It won't always result in being denied boarding. There maybe a way to manage it. Knowing is the important thing.

Jokes are taken seriouisly. Please do not joke about security matters. Passengers have been taken off flights as a result of this.

Poor behaviour is also a red flag. Please follow all direction by staff/crew. Intoxicated or belligerent type behaviour could well be a cause to deny boarding a person on an aircraft.
